Clip Kenshi
A personal desktop dashboard for editing short vertical videos and sending them to your own TikTok account.
What it does. Clip Kenshi runs on the owner's own computer. It cuts long videos into short vertical clips, lets the owner edit titles, captions and sound effects, and then, when the owner presses an upload button, sends the finished video file to the owner's own TikTok account as a draft. The owner opens the TikTok app, reviews the draft and publishes it by hand.
How it uses TikTok
- Login Kit (
user.info.basic): the owner signs in once with their TikTok account so the dashboard knows which account it is connected to and can show that account's display name and avatar. - Content Posting API (
video.upload): sends a finished video from the owner's own computer to the owner's TikTok inbox as a draft. Nothing is posted automatically.
What it does not do
- It does not read other people's accounts, videos, followers or messages.
- It does not post without the owner pressing the button, and does not publish on the owner's behalf.
- It does not store the TikTok password. Access tokens stay on the owner's computer.
